Your TAX BRACKET is the rate at which your income gets taxed by the Federal Government.

To calculate how much the Federal and State governments take away in taxes, convert the tax rate to a decimal (how do you do that?) and then multiply your WEEKLY salary by the tax rate.
Additionally, every worker has to pay 6.2% of their earnings to the SOCIAL SECURITY PROGRAM.
Finally, if you chose a career as a singer/movie star/artist/sports star or other career, you will need to pay an AGENT 15% of what you earn.
Use these numbers to help you figure out what your TAKE HOME PAY is.

ReplyDeleteOKAY. My bad. What happened is that I also run a blog for my 7th graders. I signed into this account and posted this without thinking about what blog I was posting to. Long story short, the 7th graders are STILL EXPECTED TO LEARN, even after the state test. More appropriate post tomorrow.
